Today is the 56th Death Anniversary of the founder of the Institute of the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus: Archbishop Leo Hale Taylor, SMA. He died on the 27th of October, 1965 and was buried on the 2nd of November, 1965 (a day he chose to be buried). Most Rev. Leo Hale Taylor was the first Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos and before his death instructed that he be buried outside of the Holy Cross Cathedral, Lagos and not inside the Cathedral as is the tradition of the place of burial of Bishops. This is so that the faithful will always go to pray for him and he watching over the faithful. His grave is just in front of the entrance of the Holy Cross Cathedral, Lagos.
