The Institute of the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus on Monday August 23, 2021 on the memorial of St. Rome of Lima, fulfilled one of the 2009 Chapter mandate. This was evident in the opening and blessing of ‘Our Lady Mediatrix of All Graces Convent’ Ilara-Epe in Lagos State, a nursing and retirement home for our elderly Sisters.

The Home foundation stone was laid in January 2021 and the home blessed and opened on August 23, 2021. The home is to accommodate our elderly, aged and infirmed Sisters where they can be properly taken care of physically, spiritually and medically.

To the glory of God, the home having about 30 rooms, a clinic, a 400-seats capacity chapel, a reception, gym, business center, grottos of our Lady and St. Joseph and a refectory for the facility were blessed and opened.

The ceremony was blessed with the presence of the dean of Epe Deanery, Fr. Gabriel Amolegbe of the Archdiocese of Lagos, who was the Chief Celebrant at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Fr. Marcus Famosanya the Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Ibonwon-Epe. Also present were, the Chaplain, Registrar, Vice Chancellor of St. Augustine University Ilara, other Priests of the Archdiocese of Lagos, the Superior General of the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, Rev. Sr. M. Agatha Osarenkhoe, EHJ, some members of the Institute, friends and well-wishers.

The home is blessed with Sr. Roseline Bambe, EHJ the pioneer Superior and manager of the home with the other community members. It was indeed a Dream which has become A Reality among Us to the Glory of God the Father.
