Our Choice of EHJ

I used to imagine myself wearing white cloth, I mean the habit of the Sisters, so it was actually that cloth that I fell in love with and again I saw some other beautiful Sisters from another Congregation in a calendar on the day of their final profession of vows. I admired them so much and afterwards I decided to join the religious life. I made the choice of EHJ because of the person of Sr. Josephine Michael who was from my home Parish. Her way of life motivated me and influenced my choice of EHJ.

I had this strong desire to serve God with all my life and to dwell in His house every day of my life. And my choice of EHJ was due to the positive influence of one of the EHJ Sisters who visited my Parish. I made up my mind to join them and live their way of life.

I desired a holy life, a life of total devotion to God, to serve God in a special way as much as I can and to be a missionary. The desire for God above all became the desire for the religious life. Thereafter, I searched for a religious institute that will help me fulfill this desire and the choice was EHJ because of their undying love of God in the Holy Eucharist. I read about the EHJ Sisters via the internet and saw they are Sisters of great missionary power and that motivated me the more.
Sr. Efleda Marie Ufoma Iwediubah
Since serving God is the main purpose why man was created, becoming a religious therefore is a perfect means to attaining this purpose. This will help me bring Christ to people through the various apostolate of the Sisters. My choice of EHJ is simply because they are “Eucharistic” and since Christ is the only mediator between God and man, I feel I should be here in order to be close to this Christ who alone can finally lead me to God.

I needed a place to help me serve God better. A place that will enable me to be chaste.
At this time, I did not know EHJ, So when the inspiration kept coming to me, I made some researches online and I found EHJ as the Institute that answers my heart filled desires of following Jesus more closely. Then I met an EHJ Sister whose habit and beauty attracted me so much.
