Mother Mary Agatha Osarenkhoe EHJ was born on December 6, 1966. She made her first Religious profession in the Institute of the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus on August 16, 1987.
Mother Mary Agatha had her graduate and post-graduate studies in the Sciences of Social Communications at the Pontifical Salesian University, Rome; she also obtained her doctorate in the Sciences of Social Communications from the same University. As a reward for her brilliant performance, she received a medal for academic excellence from her university in 2001. She has influenced and enriched the lives of many through the print medium.
Amongst others, Mother Mary Agatha was the first editor of The Catholic Voyage (a journal published by the Conference of the Major Superiors of Nigeria); editor, The Fount (a magazine published by the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus). At her private time she loves painting, reading, especially the sacred scriptures.
Mother Mary Agatha was elected Vicar General of her Institute in September 2003, and on September 12, 2009, was elected the Superior General of the same Institute. She would serve in this capacity till September 20, 2021.
