Rev. Mother Mary Catherine Omoaka, EHJ

Elected: May 1979 – April 1982 – The Third Superior General

Mother Mary Catherine Omoaka was then elected the Superior General to take over the leadership of the Institute, after the passing of Mother Baptista.

She served for three years in that capacity. It is on record that her tenure was the one that introduced the Liturgy of the hours (Divine Office prayer) and the chanting of the little office of our Lady was faced out. She also introduced the wearing of blue habit in the Institute.
